We enoyed a pleasant and relaxing stay at the Galena Log Cabin Getaway. The cabins were a great departure point to explore the numerous natural areas -- including many DNR-maintained sites.
There are so many things to do and we will be back soon to the Galena area.

We had a lovely stay here. The lightning bugs were so groovy. We loved the isolation but felt safe with our gorgeous alpacas guarding us. This was our first family ho holiday with our baby boy. Frank said we would see the stars but we got T-storms and high winds our only night here! In spite of high winds, our sturdy cabin stood firm! In the morning, the sun came out & we could hear a nest of birds being fed breakfast in the eaves. The cabin is unique and comfortable. Our short visit with the alpacas last night was delightful. Our Wedding Day! We arrived around 5:30 p.m.after a long, busy day. We built a fire in the ring out back then settled in. Sitting around the fire was a nice relaxing way to end a perfect day with our Matron of Honor and Best Man. Mark played the guitar while everyone enjoyed the starry night. We turned in about 11 pm. Thanjs for the wonderful accommodations and the terrific star party. Those were the best stargazing conditions I've seen since my trip to South Africa. Magical! We'll be back soon. DW
